Dale's 2002 Stock FZ1 with 2800 miles on the clock
Run 123 (blue line): Holeshot complete header system with stage 1 jetting kit (including timing advancer)
Run 182 (red line): Holeshot complete header system with stage 2 jetting kit (including timing advancer)
The above photo shows the first chart with the weather conditions included.
The temperatures are within 6 degrees of each other. This is critical for Dale's testing to achieve true repeatabiliy.
The above chart shows 4 dyno pulls in a row of Dale's same FZ1 with the complete Holeshot Stage 2 Jetting Kit and full 4-1 Header System installed.
Dale's second FZ1 test bike belonging to local customer (Pep).
Note! This is a high mileage bike with 30K miles on the clock. Temperature was in the 80 degree range during this testing. Even in non-ideal conditions the 5 hp+ gain and improved torque was still achieved.
Run 005 (blue line): Holeshot comp 1 slip-on and stage 1 mod jetting kit (including timing advancer)
Run 018 (red line): Holeshot comp 1 slip-on with street core muffler and stage 2 jetting kit (including timing advancer)

Note: These are true numbers measured on Dales in-house
Dynojet 250 I Dynamometer with "Win Pep 7" program.
The Holeshot compound is about 200 feet above sea level and the dyno room stays at a constant temperature between 68-74° F. These results were also achieved with Dales tuning, which is a bonus. Dale uses his dyno as a measuring tool for development and testing only. Be aware, that dynos, dyno operators, conditions and bikes can vary 3-8 hp, so this should only be used as a reference for before and after results. |
