Holeshot 2006+ FZ1 High Pipe Slip-On

After months of testing Dale's 2nd Generation FZ1 high pipe slip-on is now ready to rock and roll. It really flows beautifully with the lines of the bike and is arguably the nicest looking FZ1 pipe produced for the new model. It is hand crafted in-house from high grade 304 stainless and 6061-T6 aluminum. It comes with all custom stainless clamps - no springs here, and Dale's special tapered inlet elbow pipe for maximum flow rate. The high pipe has superior ground clearance, is very light weight and retains the center stand utilizing our super clean CNC machined center stand stop. We even designed a special laser cut, powder coated hanger bracket that tucks behind the specific 14" high pipe muffler for a ultra clean look. The Holeshot high pipe also allows you to retain or remove the rear foot pegs with the machined aluminum spacers and hardware provided in the kit. It is available in fully polished or in our powder black version cannisters. Our mufflers are available in our popular Comp 1 version or our slightly more subtle street core, and both have our laser etched Holeshot logo on the back surface of the polished stainless end cap. The optional Holeshot oval name plate can be added to the side of the canister if desired. The fit and finish is superb and installation is very straight forward with Dale's included detailed instructions.

An optional heat shield is also available for those who may get their heel against the mid pipe while riding. This may only be needed depending on your riding style or if you have a very large foot size. Dale recommends running the pipe a while first to determine if you need to add this or not.

Dale prefers the TFI tuning box over more expensive and complicated methods of tuning electronic fuel injection. The TFI does not require re-mapping of the EFI. It is a simple tuning box that can add fuel in the low, mid and top end rpm range. Dale will give you his matching base settings when you purchase the TFI and slip-on from Holeshot. The TFI will also work with any other brand exhaust system. Dale worked with Dobeck performance to come up the 2006 FZ1 TFI box, which is a completely plug-in unit, so no wire splicing is needed to install the kit.

Dale also highly recommends a minor gear ratio change to improve low end and mid-range response. There is no reason this motorcycle needs to go 85 MPH before hitting the rev limiter in first gear. The original front 17 tooth counter shaft sprocket is easily changed to the 16 tooth we offer and will make a dramatic difference in performance. Click here for more info.
