The Holeshot FZ1 slip-on for the 2006 model is a real work of art. It bolts up in minutes, has a mellow, smooth, deep tone, removes over 10 lbs and makes good gains in power and torque. As usual, Dale goes the extra mile when designing a new product. This shows in his laser etched polished stainless end cap, and the included super clean black anodized, CNC billet machined center stand stop. The mid pipe, end caps, turn down tip and custom clamps are all 304 high grade polished stainless. The muffler shell is made of strong but very light 6061 T-6 air craft aluminum. You can expect a 7 to 10 hp gain with the proper tuning to match the Holeshot slip-on. The Holeshot mufflers are available 17" or 14 " long , fully polished or with a Satin black shell. Our Comp 1 cores or stealthy street cores are available.
Dale prefers the TFI tuning box over more expensive and complicated methods of tuning electronic fuel injection. The TFI does not require re-mapping of the EFI. It is a simple tuning box that can add fuel in the low, mid and top end rpm range. Dale will give you his matching base setting when you purchase the TFI and slip-on from Holeshot. The TFI will also work with any other brand exhaust system. Dale worked with Dobeck performance to come up the 2006 FZ1 TFI box, which is a completely plug-in unit, so no wire splicing is needed to install the kit.
Dale also highly recommends a minor gear ratio change to improve low end and mid-range response. There is no reason this motorcycle needs to go 85 MPH before hitting the rev limiter in first gear. The original front 17 tooth counter shaft sprocket is easily changed to the 16 tooth we offer and will make a dramatic difference in performance. Click here for more info.
