D.I.D ZVM2 530 X-Ring Chain

D.I.D's engineers are continuously improving chain designs in order to handle tremendous horse power loads of today's high performance motorcycles. The ZVM-2 was the best chain out there until now. In developing the new DID ZVM-X Series, they focused on rigidity. Traditionally, tensile strength has been the bench-mark to indicate overall strength, but tensile strength is only a laboratory static measurement of a chain's fracture point. Rigidity, on the other hand, is the ability of a chain to withstand the forces that occur in the real world that rider experience. Increased rigidity means better power transfer from the engine to the ground, greater resistance to stretching under load and overall improved performance that meets the demands of our current high-power bikes and the people who ride them. Available 110 and 120 link Natural finish, and 130 link Gold finish. All chains come with a press fit rivet type master link.

The SV-1000 is much too high geared from the factory. This causes the bike to shudder or lug under part and full throttle load. Dale recommends dropping one tooth off the front to the 16 tooth counter shaft sprocket. Your bike will be much smoother and have better acceleration as well as more mid range torque. The bike is still great out on the open road at 70 to 80 mph cruising speeds. The 16 tooth sprocket is top quality and made in the USA. It is a simple bolt on and the original chain works fine with it. Combine this gearing change with Dale's TFI tuning box tune up, maybe our slip-ons and you will think you have a whole new motorcycle.

The Grunge Brush

The Grunge brush is what you need to clean and maintain your chain for an extended life span. It's stiff built in nylon brushes get all sides of the chain and rollers without the mess all over your hands.

Use the Grunge brush with WD-40 or Kerosene then wipe the chain off with a clean rag. Cleaning the chain periodically will also make your sprockets last much longer.
