The Holeshot SV650 High Pipe Slip-On really looks trick and
delivers the performance you would expect from Holeshot
Performance. It is handcrafted from high grade stainless steel
and aluminum components offering over 50% weight reduction from
stock.
This simple design requires cutting the muffler tube in an easily accessible location and can be installed in about 20 minutes. This design allowed us to keep the cost down compared to others available mufflers, without sacrificing performance.
A nifty stainless coupler is also available separately, so reinstalling your original muffler is a 10 minute job if desired.
Note! If you do not have a Holeshot slip-on, one extra clamp is needed that can be
ordered separately.
As far as sound goes, it has a very throaty, but smooth tone and is
slightly louder than our standard slip-on.
You can expect a maximum of 3-6 horsepower
gain, and more midrange from the Holeshot High Pipe Slip-on.
Note! The rear foot pegs can be retained or removed.

Most SV-650 /1000s run pretty well when adding a slip-on if you stick with the original air filter, but if you want to really smooth out the power curve, ad more mid range and top end power ,along with very good fuel mileage Dale highly recommends the TFI tuning box. He has been TFI tuning the DLs for two years now with great results. This is a much easier way to dial in your EFI than any other method and dyno tuning and re-mapping are not necessary. The Holeshot high pipe slip-on for the 2003-08 SV-650 comes with hardware to either run or not run the rear foot pegs and the passengers leg has plenty of room so heat is not a problem. Dale also was able to tuck the muffler up nicely so it will clear the stock rear blinkers and rear fender on the 2003 models if desired. The 2004-2008 models require removing the rear black plastic fender and stock rear blinkers. Also be sure to take a close look at the super clean laser cut black powder coated muffler bracket.
