Mark Chick:
Dale,

I just wanted to tell you that after more than 2 years and 30,000 miles, the Holeshots on my ZZ-R1200 are still great, look and sound perfect. The performance increase was noticeable, and the off-idle stumble dissapeared. The bike has a nice mellow tone, but not over loud. I have never had a complaint from neighbors about the noise.

Installation was a breeze, due to well thought out engineering and quality construction. You really pay attention to details, including the center stand stop.

Great product, thanks.

Curt:
I gotta tell ya, these things are great. The sound at low rpms is a nice rumble. When you twist your wrist, the sound is very nice and not to loud. The instructions are easy to follow and the fit/finish is great. I am very happy with them and highly recomend them.
I had a ZRX with a Holeshot slipon. The same quality with the ZZR is still there.
OUTSTANDING Dale!!!!!
Thank you for speaking with me.

Customer:
After getting my new pipes (Much Thanks Dale), I passed down memory lane. Remember when you were riding with 8 other people and your bike sounded like it had a closepin and 2 cards on the back wheel. Not with these pipes. I got the black slipons. I added the (free) shims along with sinking/tuning the carbs. Not only does my ZZR look GREAT, it runs OUTSTANDING. No more flat spots and it eats more then me. First time out with the slipon's, I rode 2 tanks of gas out the think - and the sound. Gotta go for now - some Busa's are calling me. They're pissed because I just beat 2 of them twice.

Andy Phillips:
Wow Dale

Details below on your new slip-ons and carb tune on my ZZR-1200

I rode it from your place up to my place in San Jose, with a stop in Santa Cruz for food. I'm glad I stuck with lemonade at lunch, because the only buzz you need when riding this bike comes from the exhaust.

I also got it up on Skyline, which gave me another 30 freeway miles and a lot of fun in the hills. I took my daughter on that run, and it is the first time she decided to abandon the grab rails and hold on to me for dear life.

As you know, it goes into the three digit territory in very few seconds; 120 comes up really quickly.

I have not yet been able to fully open the throttle above 5,000 in first gear. In second gear, it only takes a few seconds to wind out over 100 mph. I've learned to pay more attention to the tack, and, if a cop had been around, it would have been at least embarrassing coming on the freeway Monday in third gear when I thought I was in second.

It's a little loud, but that's easy to get used to. It's very, very strong. That will take longer to used to.

It's damned fast.

No idle problems. It's been hanging in at 1,000 +/- 75 consistently.

You made me ride my motorcycle in the rain.

Thanx.

Dale Walker and his Performance Products group have got a real winner! I received my new set of ZZR 1200 HOLESHOT slipons last night and 30 minutes later, I was out giving them romp.

WOW! Excellent product!
Very, Very Pleased!

I recently did the Sport Rider carb mod, but my HOLESHOT Pipe Kit came with new, stainless mil spec shims so I decided to replace the (1 ea).020" ACE version shims and slip on two,(2), of his .018" under each needle. Per Dales base recommended setting , I checked and readjusted the fuel pilot screws 3 turns out from seat. Just to be sure

This bike is a whole new beast!

The sound is incredible, throaty rumble at idle, sounds mean. Is Mean! Going up through the RPM's, these pipes start to growl. Really sound great! Going to the redline in 2, 3, 4 ... holy S).(t! The pipes are howlin' just right ! This bike really hauls. The HOLESHOT pipes have a real nice, mellow rumble when your just easy crusin', but they really wake up when you whack it! Best $599 I have ever spent.

I got a nice long straight without much traffic, so I let the motor find about 2500RPM in third and decided to jump on it. CLEAN, SMOOTH power delivered throughout the run as It started rubbin' in the redline. Man it gets there fast! Nobody in front of me and no ones comming, What the heck, grabbed 4th, again WOW! Same for 5th, Holy Kaw! Saw 170 on the Speedo, but heavy cross winds made me a little uncomfortable so I let off. I'll tell you what, SHE STILL HAD MORE TO GIVE! I love this bike! I know, chicken, that's me! I'll find the top one day. Maybe..

As you can probably tell, I really like this new set up for the ZZR1200.
Very happy with the Pipes and Kit I received from Dale.

The Pipe Kit came with everything you need, 6 Stainless clamps, 12 stainless shims( 0.018") for those of you that want the carb mod (which should be all of you cause its real easy to do and the gains are day and night!).
No internal carb drilling or rejetting necessary! All Plug and Play. Plenty of Performance!!! High Grade, Polished Stainless midpipes and new header pipe gaskets as adveritsed. I picked up a bottle of Dale's Majic Mix polish to keep my pipes looking like new!

I talked a couple of times with Dale, he is easy to talk to and just wants each of the riders that purchase his products to be happy. I see that he has put considerable thought into this set of pipes. Everything from the center stand stop to the attach point where the cans mount to the bike, no brackets needed! Just a clean 4" stainless muffler band clamp, which comes with the insulator band for a secure mount.
These Pipes are beautiful and really enhance the performance of the ZZR1200. I could not be more happy with my purchase.
I'll put in the address here for those of you who may want to take a look. http://www.holeshot.com. Also I'm gonna put some pics of my bike in the galley. The HOLESHOT web page has several pics of our bike with the pipes on. Sold me, you'll see. The whole package, performance, looks, support, and a great sound!

Try to keep the blips to a minimum, I dare you! Good luck and Ride Safe ZZR Riders!

Chris Young, (RedDeer, Alberta, Canada):
You mentioned You wanted feedback on how I feel about My new Pipes.... I put a set of Black Satin Pipes on a 03 ZZR-1200... I Love them, easy to install, they sound beyond great, and not to loud when just cruisin, huge power gains, mileage gains, people take note of my Bike when they hear it approach... or leave them...!! My Buddies claim they can see blue flames down the pipes from behind, when I really grab some throttle, then back off, that got them pretty jealous. You're Videos of what to expect of You're pipes, where pretty darn close to what they are like in Real.... I'll be taken Pictures of My Bike soon, Its Candy Thunder Blue, maybe You might want some more pictures for your website.... Also Making a Video... Just for the sake of prosperity... Anyway Overall the New Slip-Ons made my ZZR a whole new animal.... Gets the adrenaline running everytime I crack open the Throttle... Thanks.... Also next weekend I'm going to Dyno my ZZR, and see what kinda of power its really making.... I look forward to the Results on Paper.... The Guy who owns the Shop, and Dyno, rides a Honda BlackBid CBR 1100XX, and His bike doesn't compare to the ZZR-1200 now, I'm 2-3 Bike lenghts faster, almost a Liter cheaper in Milage, and those Pipes have him (after the Dyno Test), claiming to possibly buying a set of Your Pipes..... Anyway Thanks.

Kevin J. Davis (2002 ZZR 1200):
Dale, I just want to thank you for all your personal attention during my purchase. These pipes are absolutely top notch. Fit and finish is great and the installation was very easy. Best of all is the sound, not to loud but loud enough to really allow you to hear the power of my ZZR 1200. My air fuel has been adjusted but I haven't installed the shims yet, I don't think it's necessary in my case because the bike is running perfect. I may install them later in the season just to see the difference. I have some really nice photos of the bike with the pipes on so let me know and I will send them to you. Thanks again for your great customer support, personal attention and most of all a great product at a reasonable price.

Dan F. Johnson:
Dear Dale
Thought I would let you know how i like my new ZZR Holeshot slip-ons  with carb tweak
The acceleration is simply amazing compared to before the slip-ons and shim kit.  It feels like there's about 10 extra hp in the engine. The all out acceleration is far better.  The idle is nicer, smoother. It starts better when it's cold. Seems to warm up quicker. Better cold performance. The low deep throaty sound of the pipes sounds great. They don't even compare to a Muzzy or some of the others that I've heard. I love the deep sound of those pipes. My son is 18 and he said they sounded great! The deep bass throaty sound of the idle can be felt inside my house like a sub woofer, when it's warming up outside in the morning (remote start on it) right before I go out to go to work.

I had to choose an after market pipe over replacing the stock ones because they were going to be $1400.00. I did over $11K in damage to my bike.  But I didn't just pick any slip-on. I chose the Holeshots because of the performance gain, the jet mod kit that it came with, the completeness of the kit, and the fact that it had the center stand stop integrated into the pipe. The hardest decision was choosing polished or black. Less maintenance won out on that one.

My ZZR1200 is better than new now.

Great slip-ons!
